Acceptable Use Policy

Rules for using Solarflare API, sample data, exports, and evaluation workflows safely and lawfully.

Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy applies to the Solarflare website, sample data, API, datasets, exports, documentation, and related services.

The policy is designed to protect customers, data subjects, infrastructure, and Solarflare from misuse.

Lawful use

You may use Solarflare only for lawful fraud prevention, bot detection, traffic-quality, threat intelligence, security, compliance, research, and related business purposes.

You may not use Solarflare to violate applicable law, infringe rights, evade sanctions, or help another party do any of those things.

Prohibited abuse

You may not use Solarflare to attack, disrupt, scan, overload, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to any system.

You may not attempt to bypass authentication, rate limits, quotas, metering, security controls, or contractual usage limits.

Data handling

Do not submit passwords, API keys, tokens, private keys, payment card data, health data, government identifiers, or other sensitive personal data unless Solarflare has expressly agreed in writing.

Do not submit data that you do not have rights to process or share. Customer-submitted data should be limited to what is needed for evaluation or production use.

Restricted decisions

Solarflare output must not be used as the sole basis for decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on a person.

You are responsible for your own decisioning logic, notices, appeals, review processes, and compliance obligations.

No harmful targeting

You may not use Solarflare to target, harass, surveil, dox, discriminate against, or exploit individuals or protected groups.

You may not use Solarflare to infer sensitive characteristics about a person except as permitted by law and by a written agreement with Solarflare.

No unauthorized resale

You may not resell, redistribute, publish, or sublicense Solarflare data, API responses, exports, or derived datasets unless Solarflare has expressly allowed it in writing.

Operational integrity

Use reasonable request volumes, caching, and retry behavior. Do not intentionally degrade service performance or availability.

Security testing against Solarflare systems requires prior written authorization.

Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and may throttle, suspend, or terminate access where needed to protect the service, customers, or third parties.

We may also remove data, require corrective action, or report unlawful activity when appropriate.
