What's new in Solarflare

Customer-facing product updates: API additions, data coverage improvements, reliability work, security changes, and billing releases.

  1. More resilient production serving

    • Lookup traffic now runs on redundant production infrastructure for better availability.
    • Enterprise customers can use the 99.95% uptime target in vendor reviews and procurement.
    • Security-sensitive teams get a documented bearer-token rotation process.
  2. Launch-readiness reliability update

    • Validated sustained lookup volume, data refresh, and signal stability before opening wider access.
    • Freshness and latency targets held under continuous traffic, reducing risk for production evaluations.
    • Support now has clearer freshness and delivery health signals when resolving customer questions.
  3. Dual-region failover for Enterprise

    • Enterprise customers can now opt into a dual-region API deployment with automatic failover.
    • The failover option supports higher availability requirements for critical-path risk decisions.
    • Region selection (US / EU) can be configured per contract.
  4. Public launch

    • Evaluation, Pro, and Enterprise plans become available without a private beta invite.
    • Public documentation, sample-analysis requests, and monthly pricing are published in one place.
    • Existing preview integrations continue on the v1 endpoint shape — no breaking migration required.
  5. Self-serve billing for Pro

    • Pro customers can now manage subscriptions, invoices, and seats directly from the dashboard.
    • Monthly card billing, receipts, and reverse-charge VAT are supported.
    • Manual invoicing remains available for Enterprise contracts.
  6. Lower-noise confidence scoring

    • Confidence thresholds were retuned to reduce false positives on borderline residential IPs.
    • High-confidence responses remain backward compatible for teams using hard-block rules.
    • Low-confidence responses now map more cleanly to step-up verification and review workflows.
  7. Webhook callbacks for bulk jobs

    • Bulk jobs can call your callback URL when enriched output is ready.
    • Most integrations no longer need to poll for job completion.
    • Signed callback verification is documented with a 5-minute replay window.
  8. Bulk IP analysis (private preview)

    • Pro preview customers can submit CSV or JSONL files with up to several million IPs per batch.
    • Bulk analysis returns aggregate breakdowns plus per-IP enrichment output.
    • Designed for backfills, investigations, and offline model evaluation.
  9. API key management

    • Create, name, rotate, and revoke API keys directly in the dashboard.
    • Per-key usage attribution is now visible in analytics.
    • Teams can separate production, staging, and analyst workflows without contacting support.
  10. Usage dashboard

    • Dashboard now shows usage analytics, recent lookups, and per-environment quotas.
    • Daily and rolling-7-day charts make it easier to spot integration spikes.
    • Customers can self-check usage instead of waiting for emailed reports.
  11. Faster single-IP lookup

    • Median single-IP lookup latency dropped from 312 ms to 142 ms.
    • P95 latency was cut roughly in half over the previous quarter.
    • Bulk endpoint throughput more than tripled for large evaluation files.
  12. Wider proxy coverage

    • Expanded observed residential proxy coverage across North America, Europe, and Asia.
    • Network-type classification accuracy improved on mobile and datacenter signals.
    • Historical records were updated where applicable so last_seen reflects the broader coverage.
  13. Last-seen timestamps on every record

    • Every API response now includes an ISO-8601 last_seen timestamp.
    • Risk models can decay older proxy observations automatically.
    • Teams can distinguish fresh, warm, and historical observations at the row level.
  14. Confidence scoring

    • Introduces low / medium / high confidence levels on every lookup response.
    • Confidence reflects observation density, recency, and behavior-pattern matching.
    • Designed to plug into existing fraud-rule thresholds without custom probability modeling.
  15. Closed beta expands

    • Selected fraud, bot-detection, and threat-intel teams can evaluate Solarflare with sample data.
    • Bearer-token authentication is available on every endpoint.
    • External design partners start testing Solarflare against real abuse and traffic-quality workflows.
  16. Network-type classification

    • Lookup responses now include a network_type field for residential, mobile, datacenter, and VPN-style observations.
    • Helps downstream rules separate human-operated residential abuse from automation hosted in datacenters.
  17. Daily data refresh

    • Proxy observations now refresh daily on a predictable cadence.
    • The daily refresh model establishes clear semantics for last_seen timestamps.
    • Customers can reason about signal age consistently across API and bulk outputs.
  18. First lookup preview

    • Earliest design partners can test a single-IP lookup API against an initial observed proxy dataset.
    • The first response shape includes a boolean observed_proxy field.
    • This preview establishes the API foundation for later confidence, freshness, and network-type fields.
